Bonnie Pointer first sang with sister June in a duo,
then she and her sisters joined forces and the "Pointer
Sisters" were born. They performed in the Bay area, sang
with many famous groups, and two of their five albums
were certified "Gold." She and her sister, Anita,
were prolific songwriters and co-wrote such songs as
"Fairytale." In 1976 she embarked on a solo
career, issued three albums, and "Heaven Must Have Sent
You" has become a disco classic. Even today, it receives
widespread airplay. She has had several winners and
continues to perform across the country.
