And along
came our two grandsons, who brought such joy into our lives. We have watched them
grow from
their birth to adulthood, and they are still bonded close in our
hearts. Photo below.
How
wonderful it was to see the love and trust in
their eyes, and to love them and hold them when they were happy
or when they cried.. Rapture is to romp on the floor and play
with little boys.
We
reminisce about how little boys love to
play in the mud, get skinned knees, climb in the trees like
little monkeys, stand on their heads, and pull the pigtails
of every
little girl that they could catch. (smile)
Ah sweet
memories! We watched them skate, have snowball fights, catch
fireflies, play
hopscotch, run races, and best of all, we watched with delight
and cheered at
their baseball games
How proud we were when they made good
grades, won spelling bees, had many
friends and brought them home for snacks and fun, or to play
games. We smiled as little
girls came into their lives.
We loved
to watch them participate in various sports such as golf,
soccer, basketball, and baseball. Our son and grandsons all
played Little League baseball and our memories recall the home
runs, but never the strikeouts.
As we
reminisce in our golden years, we think of our grandsons, in
this day and age, ending every visit with a hug and a "I
love you," grandsons who say
Mr. and Maam when addressing adults and openly show love.
Our
family is closely bonded and it is not considered
"sissy" for the men and women to express love with
hugs and kisses. We see clearly an outstanding son and two
fine grandsons that emulate their fathers.
We are
truly blessed.
